ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota couple accused of criminal embezzlement has been ordered in a civil case to repay more than $100,000 to the estate of a relative from whose accounts they allegedly transferred considerable sums of money.
A judge ruled that Albert and Rosey Dosch, of Frederick, used $108,715 from the estate of Joseph Dosch for personal purposes. Albert Dosch is Joseph's nephew and was appointed representative of Joseph's estate when he died in November 2010.
A granddaughter of Joseph Dosch who stood to inherit a portion of his estate filed the civil lawsuit.
Albert and Rosey Dosch have pleaded not guilty to felony charges in the separate criminal case.
