A South Dakota native won a medal on Friday at the Olympic games in London. Sturgis native Paige McPherson won a bronze a medal in taekwondo.

McPherson beat Franca Anic of slovia 8-3 in the bronze medal match.

It's the first olympic medal for the 21-year old McPherson.
