Ten counties in Minnesota have confirmed 13 human cases of West Nile Virus this season.
Six Minnesota Counties in the KSFY region have confirmed seven of those cases in Minnesota—three of which came from blood donors unaware they even contracted the virus.
As of August 14, 2012 the Minnesota counties with confirmed findings of the virus include: Yellow Medicine, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Cottonwood, Brown, Hennepin, Steams, Clay, Cass and St. Louis.
