RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A man faces aggravated assault charges for stabbing a man, cutting another and threatening someone else when he couldn't get a cigarette.
Rapid City police say 22-year-old Nico Steele stabbed a man in the leg in downtown Rapid City on Wednesday when he asked the man for a cigarette, and he said no.
Another man was cut on his back when he tried to intervene.
Police say the two victims suffered minor injuries.
Steele ran away after the alleged stabbings, but he was caught by police. They say Steele also threatened someone else during the incident.
Steele is being held without bond on three charges of aggravated assault and one charge of drug possession.
