SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - With Bostonians Tom and Ray Magliozzi walking away from their widely popular "Car Talk" NPR program after 35 years, the hosts of Sioux Falls-based "Under the Hood" wonders if it's their time.
For 22 years, parts expert Shannon Nordstrom, Russ "The Super Tech" Evans and radio veteran Chris Carter have boosted the call-in show's affiliates to 90 stations across the country.
The hosts mix humor and banter amid car questions, but they don't ever want comedy to overshadow solid advice.
As "Click and Clack", the Magliozzi brothers' nicknames on the show, Evans thinks now could be the time for "Under the Hood" to grow even more.
