South Dakota inmate back in custody

A state prison inmate that walked away from a minimum security unit in Sioux Falls last night is back in custody.

Inmate Shane Archer was apprehended in Sioux Falls this afternoon.

He left Unit C, the minimum security unit of the Jameson Annex to the State Penitentiary, August 18.

The 38-year-old is serving a 5-year sentence for Grand Theft out of Lawrence County.
