Sioux Falls police say a citizen's tip led them to find a missing prison inmate near downtown Sioux Falls this weekend.
Sioux Falls police say Shane Archer, 38, was spotted walking with another person near the area of 10th Street and Cleveland Avenue. Police say they found Archer with a pipe and syringe in his pocket. The pipe tested positive for marijuana and the syringe tested positive for methamphetamine and cocaine.
Archer was arrested on two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for marijuana and paraphernalia.
Archer was reported missing Saturday when he left Unit C, the minimum security unit of the Jameson Annex at the State Penitentiary.
Archer is serving a five-year sentence for Grand Theft out of Lawrence County.
