RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A man accused of stabbing his pregnant girlfriend to death in a Rapid City parking lot is back in the hospital.
Deputy State's Attorney Scott Roetzel said Michael Young, 30, was taken back to a Rapid City hospital Sunday for at least a week for treatment for stab wounds he inflicted upon himself during the April incident.
Young is charged with first-degree murder and fetal homicide in the killing of 30-year-old Morgan Myers and her unborn child in a Rapid City Walmart parking lot. He has pleaded not guilty.
His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 17.
