One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a Sioux Falls home Monday evening.
Falls Fire Rescue responded to smoke coming from the home at 207 North Lewis Avenue around 6:30.
First-arriving crews found smoke coming from the front of the home. Crews entered the house and found a fire in the kitchen.
Firefighters were able to put the fire down within fifteen minutes.
The residents were out of the building prior to the fire department arriving on scene.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with three support vehicle, four fire trucks, and twenty firefighters.
The house did not have working smoke detectors. The cause is under investigation.
