Sioux Falls Police say a drunk driver led them on an overnight chase with speeds reaching up to 70 miles per hour.
A man is behind bars after leading police on a high speed chase early Tuesday morning that went through several neighborhoods in a span of only five minutes. Sioux Falls Police say the chase started around 1:30 Tuesday morning near 10th street and French.
The chase started when someone called police saying that a car was swerving all over the road. When police spotted the car the driver sped up and went all the way to 18th and Cleveland. Speeds reached around 65 to 70 miles per hour. The chase ended on Summit between 13th and 14th where the driver tried to go around a road closed sign and landed his car in a pile of dirt. The driver was arrested for aggravated alluding, his 4th DUI, no insurance, and having a revoked license. His name has not been released.
