18-year-old arrested for 2nd DUI after crash, foot chase

An 18-year-old man is behind bars after a drinking and driving crash and running from a police officer.

Dewey Tuttle is facing his second Driving Under the Influence charge, Injury Hit and Run, Resisting Arrest, Drive with a Suspended License and Underage Consumption.

The incident happened 4:30 p.m. Monday near 33^rd Street and Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls. A police officer said he saw what happened while waiting for his car to be fixed.

The officer said Tuttle's car ran into another car. Immediately after the crash Tuttle got out of his vehicle and ran away. The officer pursued and caught Tuttle three blocks away from the incident.

Police said Tuttle does not own the car he was driving in the crash and they do no know who actually owns it.
