The Wagner couple accused of not telling police about the death of toddler have pleaded not guilty.
Taylor Cournoyer, 21, and Laurie Cournoyer, 28, are each facing five counts of felony child abuse related to five children. The two were indicted on the charges last month. They were also indicted for possession of methamphetamine.
The Cournoyers were both facing one count of felony abuse or cruelty to a minor and failure to notify law enforcement to the death of child.
The Cournoyers were taking care of RieLee Lovell, 2, who died in the early morning of July 3. However, Lovell's body was not found until July 4.
Charles Mix County deputies took Lovell's 11-year-old cousin was taken into custody for the death. The boy has been charged, but no other details have been released because the defendant is a juvenile.
