Mary Sommervold Hall at the Washington Pavilion is the venue for a very historic organization - Live on Stage: Sioux Falls Concerts Association.
"The organization has been in existence for 82 years. We've been bringing great music to the Sioux Falls community for that long," said the organization's president, Diana Thorson.
Because it has a small budget and a volunteer board, Live on Stage is a bit of a hidden gem. But, its members say the organization has many exceptional qualities.
"Not only the quality, but the affordability factor. We are certainly the best value in all of Sioux Falls in terms of ticket pricing," said Thorson.
This year, Live on Stage will put on five shows at the Washington Pavilion. The acts range from classical to Motown to big band. Terry Bender will kick off the season on September 21.
"Our first concert is a classical concert mainly. However, this gentleman can sing pop as well as opera. He has an absolutely stunning voice. He's sung all over the world."
