In their first game as member of the NSIC, the University of Sioux Falls football program scored a big victory, topping No. 16 St. Cloud State 32-19 Thursday evening.
Behind three touchdown passes from senior quarterback Taylor Perkins, including a pair to converted wide receiver Carrington Hannah, the Cougars went into Husky Stadium and surprised one of the conference's early season favorites.
On the ground, fifth-year running back Kristian Porter added 77 yards on 15 carries, and a touchdown.
Defensively, a veteran front seven limited the SCSU to just 19 points and was crucial to USF racing out to a 29-13 first half advantage.
