Olympic taekwondo medalist coming home to Sturgis

STURGIS, S.D. (AP) - Olympic medalist Paige McPherson is planning a visit to her hometown of Sturgis.

McPherson won a bronze medal in taekwondo at the London Games, in the 67-kilogram division.

Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce Director Lisa Weyer says McPherson is to be in town for the Sturgis Brown High School Homecoming Parade on Sept. 28. A public reception for her is planned Sept. 30 at the Community Center.
