PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A Fort Thompson man has pleaded guilty in federal court to a weapons violation and a wildlife crime.
Twenty-5-year-old Richard Coleman was accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and using the gun to kill a protected bald eagle late last year or early this year.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Coleman faces up to 11 years in prison and $350,000 in fines when he is sentenced Nov. 20.
