Eight men were arrested and charged with Hiring for Sex after a police prostitution sting on Thursday.
The Sioux Falls Police Department put up a fake ad as an escort service on-line, and received more than 100 text messages and phone calls, from more than 75 different phone numbers.
The following men received two misdemeanors for trying to solicit sex from two undercover officers:
Michael Stang, Samuel Wilson and Glen Hurts
The five who received one misdemeanor are:
Jasper WIlliams, Nicholas Bergman, Charles Wathier, Roy Knudson, and Efren Soletero-Romero.
Sioux Falls Police Chief Doug Barthel offers this advice to those who are considering paying money for sex.
"You have no idea the next time when you set up one of these encounters," Barthel Said. "It could be a police officer."
