Posted: Updated:

LEAD, S.D. (AP) - SDSU Extension and the South Dakota Sheep Growers Association will host a sheep symposium in Lead later this month.

The Northern Plains Sheep Symposium will be part of the 75th annual SDSGA Convention at the Days Inn on Sept. 28-29.

Extension specialists, industry experts and government agencies from the Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota and Colorado will cover such topics as sheep reproduction, nutrition, health, wool and marketing.

The 2 day event will culminate with a fresh American lamb banquet and wrap up with the state finals for the Make it Yourself with Wool program.

Registration for Sept. 28 is $25 per operation. For Sept. 29, attendees will only need to pay for a meal ticket if they plan to attend the luncheon and banquet.
