Hawarden holds popular firefighting challenge

The Hawarden Firefighter Combat Challenge Team and the Hawarden Fire and Rescue are holding a competition in Hawarden and many people say they wouldn't miss it.

The 2 day event started as a physical fitness test for the fire department back in the 1970's but it has become a competition and crews have kept it going.

The challenge is referred to as the "Olympics" of firefighting because of its grueling tasks.

Many say it's the toughest 2 minutes in sports.

Kids also were able to participate.
