South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard is asking for flags to be flown at half-staff to honor former Secretary of State Alma H. Larson of Gregory.
Daugaard asks for flags to be flown at half-staff on Friday September 7 from 8 am until sunset.
Larson, 80, died Sunday. She served as South Dakota's 22nd secretary of state from 1965-1973.
Funeral services for Larson will be at 11 am on Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Gregory, with a 3:30 pm burial at the Vivian Cemetery.
