Sioux Falls City Council votes to rezone land for Sanford expansion

The Sioux Falls City Council voted to approve the rezoning of an eight-acre area in central Sioux Falls for Sanford Hospital.

The move adds the area between 18^th Street and 22^nd Street, Menlo Avenue and Prairie Avenue to Sanford Hospital's 81-acre campus.

Many citizens at the meeting spoke out against the rezoning. However, the City Planning Commission previously recommended the proposal and the council agreed with a unanimous vote.
