(Sioux Falls) The Sioux Falls Stampede season is officially underway. The Herd had their first practice on Tuesday night.
The stampede have a new head coach this season in Carey Eades, and have nine players back from last year.
One of the new faces is Sioux Falls native Zeb Knutson.
The Stampede hope this is a team that returns to the playoffs, after missing the post-season last year.
"I like what I see, this is a little older veteran team. But there's a still a long way to go to learn the systems." says Eades.
"We're still learning things but we have an aggressive team that is ready to get those wins back." says Knutson.
The Stampede have five exhibition games. They open the season September 28th at Lincoln.
