Power back on for thousands in Sioux Falls

We're told at least one transformer blew knocking out power to about 6,200 hundred Xcel energy customers Wednesday night. Around 11:00pm we noticed street lights were out from Prairie to Marion and 41st Street to Russell. A few stop lights were out as well in that area.

When we checked around 2:00 Thursday morning lights appeared to be back on in that area. Xcel energy later confirmed that power has been restored.
