Reports of an attempted abduction in a small NW Iowa town have Lyon County authorities on the look out tonight.
The incident happened Wednesday around noon in Little Rock, IA, and involves an older woman.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office tells KSFY a 61 year-old woman was outside her home when an older man approached her and tried forcing her into his car.
The suspect is being described as a man in his 60s, 6'2'' and 250 lbs. He has long hair and a gray-brown beard. He was believed to be driving a small, older-looking car with a white top.
That's not all, two other reports earlier this week came out of Lake Park, IA. They share a similar description that could lead investigators to one possible suspect.
Some people in Little Rock are feeling uneasy after the report came out. Not only because it happened so close, but the two other incidents in Lake Park just days before.
One mom of four says an attempted abduction was the last thing she'd expect to happen on her block.
She knows she can never be too careful.
"For Little Rock, yes, this is the biggest thing I've seen or heard of in five years that I've been here. It's kinda creepy, especially when you find out it's right by your house and you have four kids. It's like 'you're going to stay in the house for awhile'," Tina Malsam said.
If you've seen a man matching the description above or have any information or leads into the investigation, you're asked to call the Lyon County Sheriff's Office at (712) 472-8300.
