Car-truck accident slows traffic on I-29 in Sioux Falls

A car-truck accident slowed traffic along Interstate 29 and 41^st Street in Sioux Falls Monday afternoon.

Metro Communications confirms with KSFY News that a car and a Frito-Lay Truck are involved in the accident. It happened in the southbound lane of I-29 just before 3:45 Monday afternoon.

At about 4 pm Metro Communications told KSFY News a person was trapped inside the car. As of approximately 4:15, emergency crews were able to remove the person inside the car and that person was taken in an ambulance.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, Sioux Falls Police and Metro Ambulance responded to the scene.
