Family, friends and a former presidential candidate have visited the site where Amanda Connors was shot to death in a tragic murder and suicide situation.
A small memorial in Connor's honor is set up right outside the front door of Cost Cutters along 41st Street. Family and friends have been lighting candles, laying flowers and other notes to remember their lost friend.
KSFY News Reporter Jake Iversen says former Senator George McGovern also stopped by the memorial. McGovern was at the Original Pancake House Tuesday during the standoff. McGovern says the memorial is "very, very touching."
A fund has been set up through Wells Fargo to help offset funeral costs for the Amanda Connors' family. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank nationwide-- just request the Amanda Connors Fund.
