PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard has ordered all state government agencies to fly flags at half-staff in honor of the victims of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
The attack by extremists on Tuesday killed four State Department employees, including American ambassador to Libya John Christopher Stevens, and wounded three others.
The directive is in accordance with one from President Barack Obama. It is in effect until sunset Sunday.
