Vermillion plane crash kills pilot

A pilot of an Ultra-Light plane crashed in a cornfield near the Vermillion Airport Friday afternoon.

The pilot, the plane's only occupant, was found in the wreckage deceased.

The area is being secured by the Clay County Sheriff pending the arrival of the FAA who will investigate the cause of the crash.
