Taking precautions during harvest season

West River officials want ranchers and farmers to take extra precautions to prevent wildfires when out in the fields harvesting, this year.

Officials say dry conditions combined with the warm and windy weather is making conditions ripe for fast-moving fires. Farmers should have a disk in the field and know where the nearby water tanks are.

Some of the areas seeing high to very high fire dangers include Lawrence and Pennington Counties.
