A transient in Sioux Falls may have hung around too long as he was arrested shortly after an alleged assault.
The reported attack came at 2:25 am Monday from the Get-N-Go at 600 South Minnesota Avenue. However, police say the incident happened in the 200-block of South Duluth Avenue.
Police say the victim was attacked with a knife. Police say the victim had some severe cuts and was bleeding heavily from his left wrist.
The victim called police from Get-N-Go, gave his account of the situation and provided a description of the suspect. Police quickly found the suspect who was outside of Get-N-Go as police were there. Police say the suspect fit the victim's description—and if that was not enough—he was found with blood on his hands, shirt and pants.
Dawson Schunk, 28, was arrested for one count of aggravated assault.
