More details released in Sioux Falls restaurant robbery

Posted: Updated:

Sioux Falls police continue to look for the suspect in Saturday's morning robbery at the Attic Bar and Grill.

The robbery was reported at 9:30 am Saturday at the Attic Bar and Grill. Police say the victim was in the back office of the restaurant counting money from the night before, while other employees were in the front.

Police say the victim heard a knock at the door, which police say was not unusual as the door is usually locked and employees use the door.

The victim told police a man wearing a ski mask forced his way into The Attic, grabbed the money that was being counted and left the scene. The two employees in the front of the restaurant did not know anything was happening.

Police are looking for a heavy-set white man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall. Police say the suspect was wearing blue jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt with a black ski mask at the time of the crime.
