Administrators with the University of Sioux Falls credit a 49 percent freshman enrollment increase to investments made in faculty and staff, programs and facilities.
266 first-time, full-time students represent a 49 percent increase of incoming students at the University of Sioux Falls this fall. The University's total headcount is now 1,505.
"We attribute the significant increase in freshman enrollment to investments we've made to hire and retain quality faculty and staff, improve academic spaces and increase the University's facilities' footprint," USF President Mark Benedetto said in a news release.
The University's overall facilities footprint expanded after the school acquired the former Sanford Health Power Center at the location of the USF Sports Complex. The USF Sports and Fitness Center is dedicated to students' and employees' health and fitness, and athletic teams and coaches use the space for workouts and offices.
