Three people living in Watertown are facing charges relating to manufacturing methamphetamine. The charges come after law enforcement served two search warrants Tuesday afternoon.
The Watertown Police Department, working with the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, searched a home located at 610 7th St NE on Tuesday. During the search police say they found the remnants of a methamphetamine lab. Through the course of the investigation, agencies were led to also search 17 6th St NE. During this search, the precursors of manufacturing methamphetamine with a small amount of methamphetamine were recovered.
As a result of this investigation, Nathan Hallman was arrested and charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine. Hieth Conley was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Stacy Smith was arrested and charged with keeping a place where controlled substances are used, kept or sold.
Further charges are pending against these three people and police also say additional arrests are expected.
