The South Dakota Attorney General's Office says a Pine Ridge woman has been indicted on meth charges.
Authorities found Victoria Running Hawk was in possession of 40 pounds of methamphetamine.
A Pennington County grand jury indicted Running Hawk on one count of possession of a controlled substance—methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance—methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. All of the charges are class four felonies and each is punishable with up to 10 years imprisonment and a $20,000 fine.
According to the attorney general's office, the charges stem from a South Dakota Highway Patrol traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Pennington County.
