You likely recognize the face. Or, maybe it's the accent that tips you off.
He's Curtis Stone: a celebrity chef, host, and HyVee's spokesman sharing his message of appreciating good food.
"Hy-Vee and I share a lot of similar values and that's the biggest one," said Stone. "We believe in healthy eating. We believe in family time and having fun in the kitchen."
Stone's love affair with food began at an early age.
"I love to eat. I remember as a little kid watching my Mom bake and wondering when will those cookies come out of the oven. And, that unbelievable attraction to food stayed with me my whole life," said Stone.
An affinity for good food and drink is what the Washington Pavilion's Autumn Crush is all about. That's why having Stone as the featured guest was the perfect fit. His stories of hosting Top Chef Masters were the proverbial cherries on top.
"Top Chef is that unbelievable show. You get to meet and watch incredible chefs cook day after day," said Stone. "I get to sit with the best critics in the country and listen to see how they approach food. As a chef, I like to listen to these chefs' approach to food too."
