Marion Road in west Sioux Falls is closed between 26th Street and 41st Street due to a gas leak.
Emergency workers on scene tell KSFY a construction worker was nailing down concrete forms when he punctured a two-inch gas line.
Crews are on scene fixing the leak. They do not expect any evacuations to be necessary, and the road closure is being implemented purely as a precaution.
Emergency officials tell us they do not expect the closure to last more than a few hours, though they could not give us a definite timeline.
