A Rapid City man is hospitalized with serious injuries tonight, after police say he killed an intruder in his home.
It happened this morning on Rapid City's north side. Just before 5 a.m., police were called to a home for a report of a shooting. Officers arriving on the scene found 21-year-old Dallas Two Bulls dead.
Police say Two Bulls beat Thomas Wilson, the 69-year-old homeowner, with a blunt object before Wilson shot him three times.
Wilson's next door neighbor says the news of what happened is shocking, but he says there have been problems with people cutting through their properties.
"We get people passing through the cul-de-sac who don't live here. I'm not sure where they're coming from but they pass through. I can tell you that it has been an issue for some folks here," said Byford Avery.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff's Office.
