SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Augustana College has announced plans for a $30 million science building at the private, liberal arts school in Sioux Falls.
Most of the money for the building will come from a $20 million grant from Sanford Health, with the remaining $10 million raised by smaller donors to the college.
Augustana President Rob Oliver says details about the building, including its location and size, have not been determined.
Sanford Health chief operating officer Nate White, says many of the company's employees have come from Augustana College. White also is an Augustana graduate.
The donation is not a naming rights deal. The science building will be named after Sven Froiland, a biology professor at Augustana from 1946 to 1987.
