The Second Judicial Circuit, which includes Lincoln and Minnehaha Counties, will begin the conversion process to the Unified Judicial System's new case management system. That process begins with the conversion of data from the court's old system to the new system, which is named "Odyssey." Following the conversion of that data and a rigorous verification process, the Second Circuit will go-live with the new system on October 1st.
The Odyssey system represents a dramatic step forward for the court system in how it manages, stores and retrieves data and court information of all types. The conversion has been successfully completed in the Third and Fifth Judicial Circuits and this is the latest event in the move toward the new statewide system.
The Minnehaha and Lincoln County Courthouses will remain open to the public during this time and the court's operations are expected to continue as normal during the transition.
