Health officials warn of early flu season

October is knocking on our doors, and according to the South Dakota Department of Health --- flu season is already upon us.

On Thursday, state officials urged the public to get a flu shot. On Friday, that same warning came from federal health officials.

They say just because last year's flu season was mild, it doesn't mean cases won't pick up this year.
