Dozens of authors and book lovers came together to this event over the weekend.
This is the 10th year for the South Dakota Festival of Books which promotes reading no matter how old you are.
There were many different types of authors here, writing everything from children's book, young adult, poetry and even adult.
The authors says it's diverse.
"So you have a lot of independently published authors here that often don't get recognition," Cathy Newcomb said.
The event runs through September 29th at the downtown Holiday Inn in Sioux Falls.
