Posted: Updated:

Tri-Valley High School in Lyons, South Dakota is raising money for breast cancer this weekend.

The volleyball team is putting this event on called "Set For A Cure"

The fundraiser brought out over 500 people.

there was a silent auction, over 100 businesses donated plus hair dressers were on hand to cut hair for "Locks of Love"

They've been working on this event since July.

Organizers say it's a way to raise awareness about breast cancer.

This hits just about anybody. It's not a biased disease and unfortunately it takes the lives of too many people so I feel it's important to educate our community and educate players and make awareness," Bridget Ebert said.

The goal was to raise $5,000, but they think they raised much more than that today.
