East 10th Street construction starts Monday

Posted: Updated:

Starting on Monday, October 1st, street repairs will be underway on East 10th St. from Cleveland Ave. to Sycamore Ave. Lanes will be closed for the repairs but traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times. You might want to think about taking another way around and the work is supposed to take three to four weeks to finish up.

Major work continues on the 10th St.interchange over I-229. The eastbound lanes were closed over the weekend, but have now been reopened.

Also left turn lanes and the I-229 left turn off ramps at 10th St.are back open. Starting Monday until Friday there will be single lane closures on east and westbound 10th St. There will also be some on and off ramp half lane closures at times. Expect delays in this area.

Crews are also working on a busy section of 26th St. The 26th and Grange intersection is closed so upgrades to the street lighting and traffic signals can be made.

There are detours set up at 22nd St, Western Ave., and 33rd St.

The project is expected to be completed by early November.
