Nine apartment complexes received permits for construction in the Aberdeen area for 2012.
250 living units will be the result of those new complexes.
Finding an affordable and available place to live has been a tough act in recent years. The influx of people in the area has mad it hard on those to find places to live.
The addition of complexes is expected to add relief to the poor housing situation.
"In the foreseeable future Aberdeen is going to continue to grow," Brett Bill, Planning and Zoning Director said. "We are going to need continuing apartments and co-owner occupying houses as well.
The 250 units are a big increase from the 91 units in 2011.
