PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - More than 9,000 South Dakotans have already cast their votes in the presidential election.
The South Dakota Secretary of State's Office reports that as of Friday, about 19,800 absentee ballots have been requested, with nearly all of the requests granted. About 9,200 people have already returned the ballots.
Early voting has started in more than 30 states. No votes will be counted until Election Day, which is Nov. 6.
