2 Sioux Falls businesses fail liquor stings

Two out of 21 Sioux Falls businesses failed a liquor sting at off-sale alcohol establishments Tuesday night.

Clerks at Nikki's La Mexicana at 905 East 8^th Street and Munchies at 717 West 11^th Street were issued tickets for furnishing alcohol to a person 18-20 years old, with a mandatory court appearance.

Businesses making sales to underage persons can face fines, suspensions or loss of liquor or malt beverage licenses. The Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to do random alcohol compliance checks of all off-sale establishments within the city limits.
