Buildings at Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha evacuated

OMAHA, Neb. — Several buildings are being evacuated at Offutt Air Force Base after a suspicious package was found Friday.

The evacuation is taking place near the east Strategic Command gate off Capehart Road.

There are reports of backups on nearby Fort Crook Road due to the situation.

Earlier Friday, a groundbreaking ceremony was held.
