HURLEY, S.D. (AP) - Authorities in southeastern South Dakota's Turner County have identified a man who died in a weekend hunting accident.
Lorin Larsen, 49, died Saturday after falling from a tree stand on his land between Hurley and Viborg while bowhunting for deer. He was found by his father, Roger, and died while being flown to a Sioux Falls hospital. His funeral is Wednesday in Madison.
Sheriff Byron Nogelmeier says it's not known what caused Larsen to fall from the tree stand.
