25-year-old Rachel Lee Coleman has been charged in connection to a Wednesday morning chase that ended with gunfire.

Charges include: First-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault on law enforcement, vehicular battery, DWI, felony eluding, and felony hit and run.

Circuit Judge Joseph Neiles has issued a $500,000 bench warrant for Coleman's arrest.  Both Lincoln County State's Attorney Tom Wollman and Minnehaha County State's Attorney Aaron McGowan will lead the prosecution, as the alleged crimes occurred in both counties.

Trooper Andrew Steen was injured after he was allegedly run over by Coleman early Wednesday.  He underwent surgery to remove pressure from his brain early this morning.

34-year-old Steen remains in critical condition.

Coleman suffered gunshot wounds and was hospitalized after being arrested.
