The former Wagner Chief of Police has been sentenced for failing to report his girlfriend's drug crimes.
Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Friday that James Chaney, 44, of Wagner was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail and pay a $1,000 fine on one count of misprision of a felony, class 1 misdemeanor.
All was suspended on the conditions that Chaney complete 120 hours of community service within the next four months. Charges stemmed from Chaney's failure to report drug paraphernalia at his place of residence.
